What's next?

From Producing Their Own Movies to Planning a Wedding, These Grads Are Taking Charge

Zac Efron
Zac's extracurricular activities include Me and Orson Welles, in which he plays an actor who butts heads with legendary director Welles. Also up: Zac as the teenage version of Matthew Perry in the comedy 17 Again, about a middle-aged guy who gets to relive his adolescence. "I'm enjoying the current path I'm on," Zac says of his career.

Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa hit the road to promote her latest album, Identified. "I've been going to small towns where kids wouldn't be able to go to the big cities," she says. "It's been a blast." She is also starring in the movie Bandslam (due next April), about a bunch of high school kids who form a rock group in the hopes of winning a battle-of-the-bands competition.

Corbin Bleu
Corbin—who has his own production company called Bleuman Incorporated—produced and starred in Free Style, a film about motocross (due out in January). The project was a family affair, since he and his dad, David Reivers, worked on it together. "We did everything ourselves," says Corbin. "It was incredible to have control over all of it."

Ashley Tisdale
Ashley goes from squabbling with her East High classmates to battling aliens in the film They Came from Upstairs (due out in January), about a family whose vacation home gets invaded by the space creatures.

Lucas Grabeel
Like Corbin, Lucas has started his own production company—"It's called 13431 Productions; it's a palindrome," he says—but he's also staying in front of the camera in The Adventures of Food Boy (about a guy who can make food appear in his hands) and the big-budget drama Milk, with A-list costars Sean Penn and James Franco.

She's Engaged!
KayCee Stroh has a whole different kind of production to focus on after the HSM3debut—her wedding to fellow Utah native Ben Higginson. She hopes the entireHSM cast can come to her January nuptials. Stroh's fiancé will now get to share her spotlight. "I took him to a red carpet event the other day, and he was like, 'This is so neat!'" says Stroh. As for the honeymoon? "We thought about maybe doing a cruise," she says.
