Vanessa Hudgens rocks out on stage in this new movie still for her upcoming dramedy, Bandslam. The release date for Bandslam is July 2009,Vanessa’s reps confirm to JustJaredJr.com.
Formerly titled Will and Rock On, the movie centers on a high school outcast (Gaelen Connell) and a popular girl (Alyson Michalka) who form an unlikely bond through their shared love of music. They get together a crew of misfits, including Sa5m,Vanessa’s character, and form a rock group to perform in the battle of the bands competition at their school.
The motion picture also stars Friday Night Lights’sScott Porter, the O.C.’s Ryan Donowho, and former Friends star Lisa Kudrow as Will’s mom.
